ONE REP MAX

Starting this week at 7220, we are implementing a rotation of 1RM tests into our WOD schedule so athletes can establish and/or update 1RM’s approximately every 10 weeks.

Not only will this be a valuable tool to measure progress, it will ensure accurate selection of the proper weight for a given WOD that calls for a percentage of 1RM. We hope to utilize the percentage method more often so that prescribed weights for WOD’s are more individualized. Testing will not take the place of WODs but will be a skill/strength activity in addition to the WOD that will be included in the logging components for that day. If you are unable to attend class on these days, we encourage you to complete it during Open Gym. We are working on the capability of logging this info in the event the activity is completed on a different day than programmed.
